Indian hill temple

Indian hill temple
I drew this after a tour to Thiruchengode a small hill temple situated in Namakkal -Tamilnadu-India , I very much impressed from the mountain views and its history . Thiruchengode is one of the historical place in tamilnadu, this is an ancient temple mentioned in the Tamil work, Silappadikaram as Neduvelkunru. The red color of the hill is the reason that it was called Chengode.
The modern history of Tiruchengode includes many memorable events. Eminent leaders like Rajaji, EVR Periar and EVK Sampath are bound to this town.
Tiruchengode has the pride of having the country's first Gandhi Ashram a tribute to our nation's great leader Mahatma Gandhi and opened by our country's then viceroy Rajaji.
And the main god of Thiruchengode is Ardhanareeswarar(Made up of navapasanam- nine poisons but one of precises form of stone made by sitharkkal ) No other civilization give birth to a god like Ardhanareeswarar (man-woman). Equal rights for men and women but any way we also followed that for few hundred years only .
